The boys watched television all the afternoon. - gaze: strmeti v nekaj dlje časa, v stanju presenečenja ali oboževanja
She gazed at him in disbelief when he told her the news. - stare: strmeti v nekaj z odprtimi usti (buljiti)
She was staring into space. - gawk = gawp: nevljudno zijati v nekoga
Many people gathered to gawp at the crashed car. - gape: zijati v nekaj ali nekoga z odprtimi usti
She gaped at him in surprise. - glance: na hitro pogledati nekaj, ošvrkniti s pogledom
She glanced at her watch. - scan: preleteti s pogledom
He scanned the newspaper over breakfast. - glare: srepo gledati koga
She didn’t answer, but just glared silently at me. - glower: srepeti, prebadati koga s pogledom
